Perry became the Administrator of Alcohol Beverage Licensing in February 2018.  He is responsible for the licensing and regulatory enforcement of South Carolina’s alcohol laws and regulations. He advises executive leadership and testifies on behalf of the SCDOR to the General Assembly. During his tenure in ABL, all alcohol licensing was made available online and the ABL webpage was completely revised to be more informative and user friendly.  Prior to becoming the ABL Administrator, Perry’s 30 year career includes working as a Deputy Sheriff, Medicare Fraud Investigator, Revenue Officer, Supervisor, and Regional Collections Manager where he oversaw tax and regulatory enforcement. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Organizational Management from the University of South Carolina and is a Certified Public Manager.
